1. What are the skipper and steward duties ?
Your skipper is in charge of the boat and of everyone's safety on board, 24h per day: this implies a great responsibility and commitment. Outside from sailing, docking, weather analyzing, managing and maintaining the boat, the skipper may schedule his time pretty much at his own will. Your steward, male or female, is in charge of breakfasts and lunches on board, food provisioning, cabins, galley and cockpit cleaning. His/Her daily work schedule is from 07:30 to 18:00. He/She also assists the skipper while maneuvering.
2. What is the language spoken by the crew ?
Both our skippers and stewards speak English and at least one of the following languages: Greek, German, French.
3. How do you make up your cabin charter cruise with regard to age and interest compatibility? Is it a singles cruise ?
We're usually able to make enough personal contact with each of our guests to have a clear picture of how to match them with a team they'll find compatible. Because of the vacation mode, style and cost, all our customers are reasonably fit, they enjoy open air activities, understand the meaning of propriety on board a sailing yacht and finally end up having a lot in common. Furthermore the fact that they embark in such a shared boat vacation more than implies they are willing to be flexible (within reason) and have the greatest fun whether they are singles, friends or couples. We've been involved in this kind of sailing cruises in the Greek islands for over 10 years now, some of our guests became friends for life while actually few people got married! One of the keys to success is that our new Pahi catamarans ensure a lot of privacy as all have en-suite private bathrooms with individual companionways and boast 700 square feet of deck space. Finally our skippers know how to manage group dynamics in order to ensure a seamless sailing vacation for everyone on board.
4. What would be a typical day ?
Breakfast on board, sailing (average of 3 to 4 hours per day), swimming and lunch, arrival, discover the island in the afternoon, enjoy a sun-downer on deck, dinner ashore in a traditional Greek taverna, evening leisure time.
5. Where is Paros island ?
Paros island is situated at the heart of the Cyclades archipelago, 25' by plane or 3 hours by fast ferry from Athens, 2 hours by ferry from Santorini. The minute you set foot on our catamarans your vacation has already started. You are surrounded by the islands' pristine beauty and crystal waters and not by sewers, apartment blocks and congested motorways like in some other northern areas. |
